The above line of Jobs is true for those who have experienced setbacks. I have no words to express my earlyhood setbacks as I haven't had such things. But this one setback has made me realise the significant of maths in life.
I hated maths since childhood. There was a long distance between me and maths. I still wonder my workouts. I lagged in the basic operations. My mom forced me to do maths. Everyday I invested one hour for doing maths. Still, I didn't get hold of it. It was easy for me to byheart maths but tedious to understand. The only subject for which I got too much rebukes and slaps was maths. So, it became my adversary. I hadn't had the interest to take my maths book and work out the sums. But maths is an inevitable one, So, I had no choice.
I managed till 6th grade but after getting into CBSE, I was completely out of maths. Everytime I got disfigured mark in maths. So, put it aside. Had sworn not to touch it. But time made me to break my oath. Thanks to Covid 19. The thirst for excelling in maths had always been within me. But i didn't get the right time. Some miracle did happen in my life and that made me excel in maths. It flickered as a dream and I caught the fire. Slowly, I developed it. I fuelled it with practices and now it is a blaze. How I understood?? I didn't know yet. But it was a watershed moment. Gradually, maths became my friend and made everything easy for me . Now, It has become my soul. No can can separate us.
After so many years, I now ,found the real meaning of the saying which I alluded in the beginning.
If you have the hunger to achieve something in your life, just stay focused until you get it. Never give up 'cause you are born to achieve it. Not to die with bare hands ✋✋.
